Overview
A Diamond Grinding Disc is a disc-shaped abrasive tool used on grinding machines, consisting of a disc body and diamond segments. The diamonds are either welded or embedded onto the disc body, and through the high-speed rotation of the grinder, they perform precise and flat grinding on the work surface.
Diamond grinding discs are made from diamond abrasive materials, with metal powder, resin powder, ceramic, or electroplated metal used as a bonding agent. These circular bonded abrasives with a central hole are also called diamond wheels. Their structure consists of three parts: the working layer (diamond layer), the transition layer (non-diamond layer), and the base.
Diamond abrasives are characterized by high hardness, high compressive strength, and excellent wear resistance. Therefore, diamond grinding discs are commonly used for grinding hard and brittle materials and hard alloys, offering high precision, high efficiency, low abrasive consumption, and long service life. They are also highly wear-resistant.
Diamond grinding discs are widely used for processing hard and brittle materials with low iron content that are difficult to machine with ordinary abrasives, such as hard alloys, high-alumina ceramics, optical glass, agate gemstones, semiconductor materials, and stone. They are primarily applied in polishing gems, jade, ceramics, and handicrafts, and are extensively used in the grinding of hard and brittle materials and metals in industries such as semiconductors and ferrite materials.

Specifications
The specifications and parameters of diamond grinding discs mainly include outer diameter, grit size, inner diameter, thickness, roundness, and cylindricity. Different models are distinguished by color and numbering.
Diamond grinding discs come in a wide range of outer diameters. Common sizes include 4″ (100 mm), 6″ (150 mm), 8″ (200 mm), 10″ (250 mm), 12″ (300 mm), 14″ (350 mm), 16″ (400 mm), 18″ (450 mm), 20″ (500 mm), 24″ (600 mm), 28″ (700 mm), 30″ (760 mm), and 40″ (1000 mm). Among these, 6″, 8″, 10″, and 12″ are the most commonly sold sizes.
Applications
Diamond grinding discs are generally used for grinding marble, granite, ceramics, engineered stone, and glass. They are especially suitable for leveling concrete exterior walls and floors in construction and decoration, as well as for edge grinding, chamfering, and rounding of marble and granite decorative panels.
